Day One /Activity 1: Setting Sail
For this activity, we need to make a list of ten food items that we could take with us. We needed to think careful as we wouldn't have access to a refrigerator or freezer while at sea. Then we need to explain the list of 10 food items we have selected to take on an ocean voyage and the reasons why we chose these items. This was a really hard and interesting DLO because we had to try and think of foods that can't be inside of a fridge, that can be made easily and are also nice and yum.

Tālofa lava Angela,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Mani and I am going to be joining you on the Summer Learning Journey as a blog commenter. I am so excited that you are joining us for the Summer Learning Journey 2019-2020. Have you done this programme before?
This year I am so excited that I get to read over the Manaiakalani blogs, especially because I have been to your school and met you and your class! I am really looking forward to summer, aren't you?
In my spare time I like spending time with my family and hanging out with my friends. I also love to exercise and write songs in my spare time. What are you looking forward to doing this summer?
I like how you explained the activity and I can really see that you are keen to get posting and completing the activities but unfortunately you will need to complete the actual activity. For example, this post is asking you to ‘list 10 food items that you could take with you on an ocean voyage and to give reasons why you chose them’. On your blog, maybe try to share your blog posts in a creative way (poster, infographic etc)’.
You can find what the activity is asking you by looking for the orange blogger logo under the activity. In future, please make sure you are answering the questions! Let me know if you need any help.
I look forward to reading more of your blogs Angela! Keep up the good work :)
Malo,
Mani :)

DeleteTalofa Angela! This is a really good start to the Summer Learning Journey. I can tell you've thought about what type of items you'd take. I'd love to know what you put on your list! I bet you have some really good things...great job!
ReplyDeleteHi Angela!,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great explanation you have wrote for this activity. I would like to know the 10 food items you would take with you on the voyage. You probably have great ideas of what you would take.
Good Job!
