Helping Room 2!
Today I went to room two to help some of Mrs Pydres Student. Here is a photo of me helping Tonga and AJ learn the alphabet. I first gave them a tip which was to sing the alphabet to help them remember each letter. Then we practiced writing each letter together I used some simple words to explain how to draw each letter. After writing each word I would get them to make a sentence and then sound out the letter. I really liked how AJ and Tonga were really respectful and if they had a question they would always raise there hands. Thank you to Mrs Pydres for helping me achieve one of my activity to earn my fist gold badge

Represent the school at an inter-school competition
Today I have created a DLO about an Inter-school I have been to.This week the year 5,6,7 and 8 went down to the AMI Netball Stadium to play Netball. My team was PBS Green. Our first game was a against Ruapotaka. The next game we played was against Panmure District we played very well but we lost 16 nil. The next game we played was against Stone Fields. Everyone cooperated and we finished with a tie 2 to 2. We took a break add some practice shoots and passes. The next game we played was against Pt England we did really good but unfortunate we lost to 10 to 0. Our second to last game was against PBS purple we did really good by passing to every team mate but sadly we lost 4 to 3. The last game was for the semi-finals and we were against Glenbrae we worked really hard but we lost to 9 to 3. I would like to thank my team for suporting me and the other people in our team and for showing teamwork even through we lost. I would also like to give a big thank to Mr oglive for setting this up and to Mrs Maclean for looking after team PBS Green.

Helping a Student
Today I went to room 6 to teach them how to log onto Sunshine Classic with their iPad. Sunshine classic is a Reading app that provides a book and a range of activity for students to try and complete. Here is a photo of me helping Devinah. I needed to teach her and the rest of the students on my table to write there name and class number by themselves. I stared by getting them to spell there name and if they had trouble doing that I would get them to sound there name out.It was hard as some student did not know how to spell there name but at they end of the day most students achieved there goal by longing into their Sunshine classic account.

Care Values
Today was our first day back a school. This year, our class is made up of year sevens and year eights, and we have a few new faces to complete the class. We have been set up into groups that we will work in for the year, and the groups consist of a mix of pupils from each gender, and each year. For this activity, we needed to in our groups, think of what each of our School CARE values mean, and how they can be shown. Once thought of, we would write our answers on a template sheet of paper, and share our answers with the class. Finally, we would create a Google Presentation that would show all of our answers, and a picture of us doing exactly that. I worked with Angela and a new girl to our class named Nidhi, and we all had a lot of fun.

Honour
This week we have been learning about Values what we needed to do was create a DLO about a Value I have chosen Honour.Honour means to show a big amount of respect to people that are around you. You would show honour by using words that are sensible like thank you, Please, Hello Sir,Madam,Mr or Mrs. For example if your parent, grandparent, aunty or uncle asks you for something you need to listen to them and do what they asked because that's being respectful.
