Kiwi Can

This week for Kiwi Can we were talking about Motivation. Motivation means something that help you do well in something. We talked about why Motivation is important and what Motivation is. The first activity we played was called Head, Shoulders, Knees and Cone. For this Mrs Paige would say either Head, Shoulders, Knees and we would put our hand on that position but if she said cone we had to grab the cone in front of us and the first person who got it won. The next game that we played called ball rope. What we needed to do was catch a ball while we jump so the rope would hit our legs.

This terms Theme is Integrity and our topic was Honest. Integrity is doing the right thing even though when no one is looking. An example of this is owing up to your mistake you made. I found it interesting to learn the meaning of Integrity. This photo of our role play shows it is important to have integrity when you go to the shop and buy something and the shopkeeper gives you the same amount of money by being honest and returning it you are showing this quality and you are being trusted.

This week we went to Kiwi can. Today we were learning about different tones of voices. What are the different tones of voices. There can be a happy,sad and angry tone of voice. Its important that the different tone of voice we give people do not a affect them in a bad way. When then did a recap of what we talked about last week. We talked about active listening what it is and where we can show it. Active listening means listening and we can show this in class or at home. When then played our Energizer called Fruit salad. What we needed to do was Mrs Paige gave each fruit an action and if you do the action right we stay standing if we do the wrong action we sit down. Then we did an activity which was called Negative and Positive role play. What we needed to do was act out a scenario that Mrs Paige gave us in a negative way and how we could change that in a positive way.

This week we went to kiwi can. What we did first was and energizer what we had to do was focus and try to keep up with the beat Paige(Kiwi Can Instructor) made a beat for each number up to 4 once she called out a number up to 4 we needed to do that beat. What we did next was sat and talked about respect and other value. We talked about why people acted disrespectful in library time. Mrs Matt (Kiwi Can Instructor) asked why people do this to a reliever teacher instead of there normal teacher. I think people acted disrespectful because they wanted attention, they tried to be cool and tried to be tough. The last game we played was hand soccer what we had to do was we had to play soccer but since it is called hand soccer we needed to use our hands.

This week for Kiwi can we were learning about Respect for our school. What we did first was talked about some rules that we have at school. We next talked about why we have rules. I think that it is important to have school rules because they help us be safe and this also help us when we get older and move on to college or university. We next talked about what our care values were and what they meant. We have Confidence,Attitude,Respect,Excellence and Innovation. Confidence means to be confident in your learning. Attitude means to  have a positive attitude to teachers. Respect means to respect people around you as well as teachers. Excellence mean to show good effort in your learning and Innovation means to think of new ways to Innovate our learning.

This week for Kiwi Can the topic was Problem-solving. What we did first was talked about how to solve problems in a good way. If there is a problem go and get a teacher to help or stop the problem. The first thing we did was we played a game called Catching Monkeys what we needed to do was try to hit the people in the middle. The ball had to hit peoples knees and legs. The winner for the game was Tiava. Then we played a game where we needed to call out the answer for a theme. Sadly my group did not win but we had a fun time. Our points were 15 altogether. I think we needed to listen to and respect the teacher more in kiwi can.

This week for Kiwi Can we were learning about Problem Solving. We were talking about some problems in Public and in School. A problem in Public is Road Violence and a school problem can be bullying. The energizer we played was called Tangel we needed to join hand across us and side us then we need to try to untangle each other but still hold hands my group won this game and was really excited. The next Energizer we played was called Rock, Paper,Siccors leveal we need to beat the other person if we lose then we are on our knees then we need to battle another people on their knees if we lose and we are on our knees then we need to sit dnow and we are otu if we win and we are on our knees then we stand up. The next game we played was called Rope we needed to figure out how to get over the rope without jumping or going under what my group did was we all stand on magentas back and then hoped over the rope. The last thign we did was a GKQ Miss Morris was the winner for our GKQ today. The point of these games was too collaborate,encourage and have communication.

This week we had Kiwi Can.We are learning about Goal Setting and why it is important. The fist thing we did was an activity. The activity was called Horse and Jockeys. First we needed to find a partner and then get in a circle so one person go in front and the other in the back if she said banana then they swap place. If Miss Lily says horse then we start to walk around the circle but if she says Jokey then we needed to run back to our partner. After that we went on the mat and talked about why Goal Setting is a good thing. Goal Setting is good because it help you motivate yourself. Next we played and game that we needed to get into a group of six and then try and get your hop in the cone I was group four unfortunately we got no points but we tried.

This Week we had Kiwi Can.Our teachers for Kiwi can were Mrs Lily and Mr Matt.This week we were learning about Accountability.A way to show Accountability is to setup for the day which is have you netbook fully charged.We played some activity our fist activity was called Copy me.In this game there will be a number of actions.Each Action is numbed for example I get 5 on the white board you find the number you and your group got an d there should be a action.You need to copy that action and do it for 10,5, or 15 seconds.Then you just keep on reaping it.The more cards you get the more you win. The next Activity we played was called 2 truths and 1 lie.In this Activity we needed to give 2 truths and 1 lie.When we have said the 2 truths and lie the group has to guess witch one is a Lie.

This week LS2 Group A went to Kiwi Can.The first thing we did was played a game called Doge the Ball.IN this game we have to use one hand to try and hit the ball to advoid the ball between your legs.Next we played a game where we have to act out a role model. Next we went to the mat and talked about how we can be a role model. I said we can be a role model by helping other kids and teaching then how to do something.

Today we went to Kiwi Can.Our instructed Mrs Lilly and Mr Matt.Our topic for this teams is Integrity and our theme was Making good choices. We had to give ideas to what we would make as a good choice.The energizers that we played was called protect the Jedi. In this game we had to make sure the balls that were thrown form the other team dose not hit the Jedi because if it dose we lose. A way to solve a problem is to get a teacher or ignore because you might make it worse if you put it in your own hands.The next Game we played was called opposite what ever Mrs lilly did we had to do the same but opposite.

This week we went to Kiwi Can.Our topic was Making Good choices.The first thing we did was a energizer what we did was we where on 4 teams and the people that are in the circles have to cath the ball but the team mates have to pass it to him and they can't move with the ball.The next thing we did was we talked about the bad things people have done and what to do to slove this.Then the last thing we did was GKQ.In this a person would start then Mrs Lilly or Mr Matt will tell us a qestion if the person staning did not answer the qestion then the person that was sitting down has to stand up and see if they can verse the other people.

This week for Kiwi Can we have been learning about Conflict Resolution.Conflict means an augment between each other and Resolution means resolving a problem.We played some game.The first game was Bang if Miss Lilly callled my named then I have to bob if she called the named next to me then I have to shoot the other person next to them.After this activity we played another one it was called The wink game.What we did was if I looked at the winker and the winker winks at me then I lose.

I learnt about Respect. What we did was we learnt about respect.We also learnt abut rules.We talk about why is rules imported and why we need it. We need it because it can keep us safe also because the game is fair. The first game we played was Mille. We needed to do the right action if he said tiger then we but our hands up if he said bafflo then we but our hands down. It was hard because he kept on mixing the action up.

This week for Kiwi Can we had a topic.It was Encouragement.We had new Kiwi Can leaders they are Miss lily and Mr Matt.We played different games the first game was change places if... in this game we had to say something if that person did that something then we change places the last person to get to a spot goes in the middle and says something else.The second game was 10 second tag.So for this game we only get ten seconds holding the ball but the aim is to tag people with the ball.We can't move with ball if Mr Matt finisher counting 10 slowly then we find out how many people got tagged by the ball.Then we came back on the flied to talk about how to encourage people.

This week for kiwi can we played some games.Our first game was we had to defend the ball.If it went under us then we are out.The next game we played was when one team has the ball then the other team has to run away but the other team can't move with the ball so they have to pass it to each other and then use the ball to tag then if they get tag then they are out.

This week for kiwi can we had different kiwi can people.what we did first was we played a game  So we had to get in a circle and Mr Latu would point at us and say one of the actions and we would have to do it.So if he said tiger we would show our claws.Then our next and fainl game was called target zone.What we had to do was the neast cone was 10 point the little bit far one was 20 and the farest on was 50.So we thor the hopif we thorw it and it land over the cone on say point 20 then we get 20 points.Then we did a GKQ - General Knowledge Questions

 Today at kiwi can We did games and we are learning about emotions and Resilience and Our game was called Bip - Bop Bounce for the Game we had to get in a circle and Mrs Latoya would point to you and say bip - bop- bounce and who ever she is pointing to is the person who has to say bang before Miss Latoya says Bounce few minutes later Mr Malu joined in and him and Miss Latoya were going round the Circle trying to get people out.

This week for Kiwi Can we Talked about self control.We played Three activy. The first activy was bing bong bounce.What we had to do was if Mrs Latioa said bing bong bounce then we say bang but if she just say bounce then we don't say bang.The next activy was GKQ what we had to do was answers the question that Mr Wong or Mrs Latioa said.I think this was fun because  we had to control our self and considerate.The next game we played was called hand cricle what we had to do was if Miss Latioa calped  her hand on the left then the next person dose it agina but if that person claped 2 times then we had to go the other way.

This week for kiwi can we where focusing on controlling our emotions at actions.We also did actives to help us do that.Our first game was Ball down.What we had to do was avoid the tennis ball get though you leg because that had to be out.Then Mr Blessing will say 3,2,1 and that person for each group won.then we had another game witch was called ball up.What we had to do was we had to be counted into 4 groups.Then for example if he says group one then group one has to stand up and then we have to stand up and then the people siting down will have to use the ball and throw it to there legs to get them out.
