Day 2 - Activity 2 - Carbon Sinks Don’t Stink! - Week 3

  1. Cabage
  2. Cucumber
  3. Capsicum
  4. Caroots
  5. Kiwi fruit

This week I needed to list all of the foods that I would put in my draining sink. Most of the food I have listed is what I don't like. I don't like vegetables becuase they taste yuck. What food would you put in you draining sink.

  1. Hi Angela,
That list seriously surprised me and made me feel very bad. I really like carrots (it seems you've spelt it wrong) and kiwi fruit, along with cabbage and cucumber. I would definitely flush capsicum down a carbon sink as it is so disgusting (in my opinion). I would put lamb, capsicum, rice (as I eat it everyday, and I'm 11 years old) and soy sauce. Maybe next time you can add some info about what a big carbon sink is and what it does.
    What is your favourite food?

  2. Kia ora Angela,

This is Susie from the SLJ team. It is sad to see some of my favourite food go down your draining sink! I understand how everyone has a different preferences and trust me - mine has changed constantly over the past few years. I find myself reaching out for different food and I realise how my taste buds have changed! Now I like food which I've never thought I would; such as spinach, avocados and beans.

I can't believe you're not a fan of kiwi fruit! Have you tried both the green and golden kiwis? I personally think green kiwis are too sour but the golden ones are so sweet! YUM! What sort of fruits do you like to eat? You should tell me your TOP 5, I would love to know!!

    Happy blogging & stay healthy,

    From Susie :)

  3. Hello Angela! You've listed some pretty interesting foods to put in your sink. I love carrots myself, their very crunchy. I like how you were honest with your thoughts on vegetables, I also think some aren't the best however others are very tasty. I don't love Kiwi Fruit either since I've had a bad experience in the past. I'd like to hear some things you'd be sure to keep out of the sink, what do you love to eat?Keep it up!
