What i had to do was Watch a short clip from Country Calendar. What do you think would be the most interesting and/or challenging things about being a farmer? Would you would like to be a farmer when you are older. Why/why not? Give us, at least, two reasons to support your answer. Planting.I think planting is hard because you have to know the amont to put in the drit hold and how much in a pack.
Kia Ora Angela,
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that planting would be a very difficult task. Not only do you have to know how much dirt you need to hold the seeds in place but you also need to know how deep to dig the hole, how far apart each seed needs to be, and how much water it will need in order to grow.
Do you think that you would like to become a farmer one day? I don't think that I would enjoy the job very much as I tend to get really cold during the winter. I suspect that I would find the wet, cold, July mornings a little bit difficult to bear. I would enjoy the physical side of the job, however, as I really like to be active and to get exercise every day. One of my close friends, Kate, actually married a farmer and they live together on his farm near Palmerston North. I am hoping to go and visit them one day soon!
Do you know anyone who farms? If so, what kind of farming do they do? My friends Kate and Dean run a dairy farm.
Bye for now,
Rachel :)
