Problem Solving

This week for Maths we were learning how to solve a problem with fractions. The questions was Joel is ordering pizza for her group. There are 14 people in the group. She wants to buy enough pizza so that each person could have 1/3 of the pizza. What is the least number of pizzas Joel should order? Each pizza costs $9.99 how much does she spend/How much should each person pay. First thing you need to do is write down your equation. Our equation is going to be ⅓ of 15 to make it easy you need to divide 15 and 3 which will equal 5 then you times 5 and the 1 which will equal 5.What you do first is get the five from the previous answer then you times it by the price of the pizza which will equal 50 then you times the people which is 14 times 50 so each people should pay 3.
