This week I needed to think about a rule and why I think that. Is it fair that people are charged up to $100 000 for overfishing? I think no because that is alot of money charing people they should at least drop the price or band fishing.I think that people should only take about 1-4 amount of fish because we still needed our see creates to live.

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your honest opinion on whether you think the amount of this fine is fair or not. Ka pai for thinking about the resolution to solve this problem. I agree with you that $100,000 is way too much money but I can imagine how the government wanted to send a strong message to us.
They have taken this action to preserve the ecosystem in certain areas of our land/water and I think it is only fair that people take this as an official warning not to fish in prohibited areas. I personally think that putting the fine down to $50,000 (half price) would still stop people from attempting to fish in these areas. What do you think?
