The Broad Street Killer



This week we have made a DLO about a book called The Broad Street Killer. The story is about a man named Dr John Snow who isolate the cause of Cholera epidemic. In London Soho in the nineteenth century he struggled to find where the disease was spreading he developed a spot map which Identified cluster patterns of Cholera. Dr John snow was the first person who stop the disease Cholera from spreading around Soho.Cholera means severe diarrhea or disease that can cause runny poo. Cholera is an infectious disease caused by the microbe Vibrio. They are infected with the disease for the same reasons as people living in the nineteenth century London:crowded,living conditions,poor sewerage systems and untreated drinking water.
