This week I needed to created a DLO about an animal of my choice. I needed to go on a site to pick an animal I picked an Eagle. Here is my DLO I have added pictures and some facts. What I found interesting was that they could live up to 20 years most birds live up to 18 and down.
Hello Angela! It's great to see you back on the Summer Learning Journey. Well done on this activity, I was very surprised at the detail you drew into your eagle. It was very interesting reading what you find out about eagles since I didn't know much to begin with. What is your favourite bird? Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteHello Angela,
ReplyDeleteI am very interested in your facts about eagles because I never usually pay much attention to non NZ native birds. Well done for finding good facts. My personal favourite fact is that the eagles can see 4 to 8 times better than what we can see. I can't imagine how sensitive their eyes are, because I feel like we see the clearest. Maybe next time you can make it slightly bigger so we can all see.

Hi there Angela,
ReplyDeleteYou have done a fabulous job summarising the different bits of information about eagles on your DLO. I like how you have talked about what they eat, how long they live, how fast they are, how sensitive their eyes are and where they could be found! Anyone who comes across this blog post will be able to learn all these facts about eagles.
I know that eagles are a large, powerful birds of prey and they are really good hunters. I remember seeing a documentary about birds and the eagles were definitely the outstanding ones from the bunch. Did you know that there are over 60 different species of eagle?
Would you like to see them in real life? Do you think you'll be able to take a photo at the perfect timing?
Ka kite,
Susie
Hi Angela
ReplyDeleteI have just returned from my holiday and have had a look through your SLJ activities. What a fantastic amount of work you have done! Which was your favourite activity? I enjoyed reading your DLO about eagles and did not know that they could fly so fast! I also find it interesting that they live for 20 years, another fact I didn't know. An idea for next time could be to include a map showing the places they are found so people can make a stronger connection to your information. Great work Angela :)
