LS2's Ballet Lesson
On Monday Ls2 had a Ballet Lesson with Chloe. Chloe flew up from Wellington and taught us a dance sequence from the Royal New Zealand Ballet's current show Black Swan White Swan which was based on Swan Lake. We first did a simple dance that evolved us to move only our feet up and down. We practiced flapping our hands like swans and then we stared to jump and flap our hands. Then Chloe taught us a dance. What we did first was we laid on the ground and then had one of our hands up in the air and form it into a swan head shape we then moved our leg up and down. Next she wanted us to have one leg and and have our hands wide open. We then standed up into a pose and moved in our groups we then presented a pose that we prepared when practicing. At the end we got to see some point shoes. We also got to ask some questions. I asked her what age was she when she first got her point shoes. A tip from chole was to commit to the movement to get the best effect. A big thank you to Mrs Jones for Organizing this special lesson and also a big thank you to Chloe for Teaching us this dance
