Sky Tower Trip

This week for our Inquiry topic we were lucky enough to go on a free trip to New Zealand's Famous Structure the Sky Tower. Waba was our host who guided us around the sky tower. The first thing that happens was we split into our kiwi can groups then we went inside next we took a photo where there were a big phone and lights. Secondly, we went up an elevator to the observation deck. Waba then gave us a sheet of paper where we needed to find what location it is and also gave  us a sky city pencil. We needed to work with partners to do this activity next we went to the deck to see where people would go if there was an emergency. My favorite part of the Deck was it had an orange cabin because it had color pencils, workbooks, first aid kit and lollies. Sadly the lollies were not there but Waba said it would be there as well as some water. After we went to the theater to watch videos about the sky tower to learn some facts. We even got to see a model made by a man named James. I learned that the tower was built in 1997 and took 2 years and 9 months to build. I also learned that 6,000 elephant is the weight of the sky tower Mrs. Anderson asked us this question and I answer 6,000 and Waba gave me so marbles. Then we headed up an elevator but before we did women showed a picture that was taken of us when we first came to the sky tower. Then we went to near the exit. I would like to say a thank you to Mrs. Krirpatrick, Mr. Anderson, Mr. Dobson, Mrs. Linda and Mr. Wong for coming with us and helps us on the trip. I would like to give a huge thank you to Douglas Bates for donating the money for Room 5, LS1 and LS2 to visit the sky tower everyone enjoyed the trip and learned fun things about structures.
