Day 1 -Activity 3 - Digital Footprint

This week I made a Digital Foot print that had information to keep cyber safe. One of the sesstiong I that was smart was to Be Careful Who You Meet Online.People you meet online are not always who they claim to be. Indeed, they may not even be real. As InfoWorld reports, fake social media profiles are a popular way for hackers to cozy up to unwary Web users and pick their cyber pockets. Be as cautious and sensible in your online social life as you are in your in-person social life.

  1. Kia ora Angela,

It is great to see that you have been busy working through the Summer Learning Journey programme this year. I can't believe that you have already completed Week #1. Wow! That is a pretty amazing accomplishment!

I hope that you are enjoying the programme and the opportunity to share your learning. I see from this post that you have learned, created and shared your learning about being a smart digital citizen and being wary of who you meet online. This is a really important thing for us to remember, isn't it? We do need to be cautious and to take care of ourselves.

I have, personally, never come across the InfoWorld website. Could you please provide us with a link to the site so that we know where we can go if we want to learn more about how to identify a fake social media profile? It would also be great if you could be sure to put all of the information that you read on the website into your own words. Thanks so much, Angela!

We can't wait to read more of your awesome posts this summer. I know that the team (Sophie, Lee, Izzy and Patricia) are really excited to see so many students from Panmure Bridge blogging with us. It's fabulous!!!

    See you online this summer.

    Cheers,

    Rachel :)
